In 2018 I worked on a strategy card game called Survive the Night where I acted as a game designer and Illustrator in addition to leading the style of the project. Bellow are the Illustration contribution I had made to the projects.
Player Characters (Students)
In Survive the Night players took control of one of five high school seniors who each represent a different horror movie character troupe (nerd, cheerleader, jock, etc.).
The cards the players would used were designed to look like a school ID, with all the awful graphic design and year book photos you probably remember.
” Beats” were a game mechanic which kept track of the players’ health (heart beats) using tokens to represent the different “beats”.Â
The Slashers (Enemies)
What is a horror movie with out it’s monster? Chasing after the unfortunate players are monsters, each one fell into one of three groups: the supernatural, the wilds, and the unknown. I had split the monster groups between three artists including myself, taking the monsters that fell into the “unknown” category.
Each piece was meant to invoke a point of view camera, the monster isn’t coming for just anyone, its coming for YOU!
